A product of the KGB’s “Red Room” spy academy, Natasha Romanoff was groomed from youth for a life of espionage. Having long ago defected to S.H.I.E.L.D., the Black Widow now seeks to use her Widow’s Bite bracelets and considerable talents in combat and subterfuge to atone for some of the stains on her past.
With naturally high Evasion and abilities making her untargettable or increasing her chance to Dodge, Black Widow is hard to hit. That's bad news for foes who'd love to stop her from Weakening, Stunning, and leaving them Clobbered.
Real personal connection has never come easy for Natasha Romanoff—she was trained from youth by the KGB to abandon attachment. Lying, manipulation, and a dozen layers of hardened emotional safeguards have made it impossible for her to carry on any kind of honest relationship in the past. Joining the Avengers has forced the Black Widow to operate as something other than a spy, however. It has stripped away the protection offered by the shadows and left her exposed in more ways than one.
With abilities that hinder and weaken the enemy, and attacks that exploit Tactical debuffs, Black Widow is a master of tactics.
